There has been a shift in how Millennials bank in the last decade from branch centered banking to mobile centered banking. While convenient, this has lead to most interactions being transactional instead of service oriented.

SAP asked my team to provide solutions to help banks motivate Millennials to bridget the gap between passive saving and active financial management using next-generation technology in the year and decades to come.

Through extensive research my team came to the conclusion that in order for banks to stay relevant to younger generations of customers they will need to help them understand what types of possibilities they can aspire to through active financial management and keep them engaged to seize current opportunities that will help them manage their finances.

Investigate Next Gen Technology & Research
I spent time researching various next generation technologies to see which could not only act best as mediums for data visualization, immersive story telling and social feedback but also which ones would had the highest likelihood of adoption by Millennials in the next decade.
Concept Ideation
The concept of Experiential Finance was to create seamless and personalized interactions between banks and their customers. Using what we knew about the banks, customers and client’s needs, we sketched many concepts to see how we could use big data, A.I. and next gen technology to provide these types of experience.
Scenarios & Charts: Showing How It All Works
Once the solution concepts were created, I drew several storyboards to help illustrate various scenarios in which the solution could be implemented and then created charts to show what was happening on the front end with the customer and the back end with the bank.
